Launched in 1992 as a way to provide essential funding for a
variety of educational initiatives in the state, the Georgia Lottery offers
numerous ways for you to play. You can choose from almost a dozen draw games,
about 90 instant games, and a handful of online games. Since its inception, the
Georgia Lottery has allocated more than $21 billion into the state's Lottery
for Education account. In fiscal Year 2022, the GLC transferred $1,474,003,000

The Georgia Lottery withholds a percentage of certain prizes as state and federal taxes.

You will receive payment that day for prizes between $601 and $499,999. Prizes worth $500,000 and more will be paid out between five and 10 business days.If you purchased your winning ticket via Georgia Lottery's website or mobile app, prizes up to and including $600 will go back to your account.
